This study found that Daily Show viewers score better on this quiz on issues of the US Presidential Election than those who get their news from just about any other medium. This is famously being used to refute Bill O'Reilly's assertion that the Daily Show audience is stoned (although it seems to me that being stoned wouldn't necessarily impare your news comprehension). The result I find most shocking is how poorly newspaper readers performed, although they didn't ask if they read more than the sports section… (The reason I went to the trouble of actually digging up the study is that the Annenberg Public Policy Center's press release didn't even bother to specify the six questions their entire results rest on!)
