I'm not sure whether this concept is a NY hipster fad, a neo-hippie ritual, yet another way to profit off the emotional confused, or a genuinely good idea, but it certainly does make you think. From reading about it, I get the impression that it takes considerable skill to keep the party on the razor-edge equilibrium between discomfort-for-all and orgy, but maybe that's what makes them cool.
