In general I think New York gets a disproportionate amount of attention, but I'm just such a sucker for urban issues and redrawing the political map. Besides, this article even discusses the logistics of sovereignty, which I have never heard in the Québec debate. At the very least, maybe NY can use separatism as a bargaining tool as Alberta has been trying to lately.
