It is updated sporadically as content is unearthed. I also like to experiment with leading-edge web standards, so please let me know if they are not degrading gracefully. A Technologic Mission the Company Pursued with Chilling Success 2/01/2004 07:11:00 p.m. http://web.amnesty.org/library/Index/ENGASA170012004
I read on Slashdot today that Amnesty International recently released a report pointing out that Microsoft and Cisco are violating the UN's Human Rights Norms For Business. Their response is, of course, not our problem. Just the other day I watched the Traders episode The Enemy Within where the firm is hired to destroy a company that is profiting off Holocaust R&D — putting the employees out of work is acceptable because they should have known. Well now that the employees of Microsoft and Cisco know, what are they going to do about it? And has it occured to these companies that the Human Rights Norms could be considered a guide to avoiding reparations to future Chinese democratic governments?
