Simon informed me about the Results for America; project/campaign and their recent survey on modern Presidential leadership. They are supposedly non-partisan, but their views tend to be fairly left (eg: against standardized testing, for stem cell research, for pollution controls, for multilateralism), at least by American standards. Any poll that ranks Regan as the second-best problem-solver would seem about as valid to me as the ranking of Canadian PMs that put Mulroney in second; however the large number of Republicans who hate Clinton and now think their country is going in the right direction just goes to show how little the supposed economic conservatives actually care about their economy.
