I believe the successor to Google News is a minimalist site called memigo which does high-powered news aggregation. It has a user-driven adaptive ranking system (like Firefly, RIP) that attempts to sort the incoming stories based on your previous ratings and lets you examine the reading history of users with similar tastes. Plus it keeps a searchable log of everything you've ever read, which I am really looking forward to using.

I can tell its cool because it told me that International Man of Mystery Hans Blix is writing a book!
