Amongst a bunch of useless Eversmack statistics, someone (Slashdot?) pointed out an article explaining how MMORPGs are designed to be addictive according to the principles of operant conditioning. Personally I think this would be a much more compelling metaphor to use in 100-level Psyc than rats in boxes.
