MemePool links to the eerie and humorously anotated 1971 Sears Catalog. The author starts to run out of steam and the fashion faux pas become less frequent after about page 20 or so. My only personal run-in with an ancient Sears Catalog was learning about inflation at a young age by seeing an early 20th Century catalog listing prices for cows. And my last run-in with the 70's was admiring a suit with mod styling in a store in Victoria — unfortuantely, it didn't fit.
