As everyone knows, vanity searches are so ninety's, but it hasn't been clear what is the new Du Jour. Today I figured it out: Google Adwords. Figure out the demand for your name (by how much you have to pay to get guaranteed first ranking), how much people search for it (by how many clicks you'd get a day), and related names (like celebrities) — and you can break all this down by country and language. Considering all the shifty donations people ask for these days, I'm tempted to ask for money to advertise this site, although that strikes me as being vaguely like a Ponzi scheme…
