Awake, Saladin, We Have Returned
As information about the US's plans for post-War Iraq leak out, the media are finally starting to discuss the problems inherint in Iraq as a nation. Of course until the Shi'ite population in Basra follows orders, the discussion will be focused on the tricky problem of Kurdistan.
It occurs to me that since ethnic autonomy conflicts are becoming an increasingly bigger deal, the international community really needs to come up with some guidelines for the establishment of self-governing regions.
