Ryley informed me that Johnny Cash, yes The Johnny Cash, has covered NIN's Hurt. If you're a glutton like me go get the 45 meg QuickTime video, otherwise go find it yourself. This is really cool because:

  • Steph and I have frequently discussed (and tested :) how well NIN lyrics sound as folk (too bad none of us had the guts to scoop Mr. Cash at an open stage).
  • Not only can Trent Reznor make instrumentals kickass enough for Quake 2 but also lyrics good enough for Johnny Cash.
  • Johnny Cash may not be successfully aging, but he's still cool.
